Horror with Chinese Characteristics: Shooter Announced by Delta Force Creators
Many gamers are familiar with the online shooter CrossFire, localized in Russia by Mail.Ru employees. The game follows retired special forces operatives who form squads and carry out various missions for private corporations. Recently, Chinese company Tencent, which owns the rights to this intellectual property, announced a shooter set in the same universe but with horror elements. The project is titled Crossfire: Rainbow. Here's what we know about it so far.
More about Crossfire: Rainbow

Development is handled by Team Jade studio, known for the MMO shooter Delta Force. This Tencent division has participated in other projects as well, so the team has extensive experience. This time, they've taken on a setting reminiscent of the Resident Evil series. The YouTube trailer showcases gameplay: a team of fighters makes their way through a forest to a dilapidated mansion, using a digital camera viewfinder to search for ghosts. This is followed by an encounter with monsters, after which one character is left alone to explore the building further. Their arsenal includes a flashlight, lighter, pistol, and shotgun, while the protagonist faces creatures capable of rapid movement and temporary invulnerability.
Beyond the published video, there isn't much information about the project. No one has mentioned release dates or system requirements yet, though it's known that the trailer gameplay was recorded on PC. Interestingly, the game's music is composed by Ludwig Forssell, who also created the soundtrack for Hideo Kojima's famous Death Stranding.
